Reading Blue Coat School approached Onthree with the wish to open a foundation office. This was fuelled by an ambition to radically increase the number of ‘100% bursaries’ they offer to prospective students—as well as fundraising for new capital projects. They therefore needed a unified, consistent identity for these various fundraising campaigns.

Reading Blue Coat School approached Onthree with the wish to open a foundation office. This was fuelled by an ambition to radically increase the number of ‘100% bursaries’ they offer to prospective students—as well as fundraising for new capital projects. They therefore needed a unified, consistent identity for these various fundraising campaigns.
In addition to consulting on the naming and creation of the logo—a simple derivative of the core school logo—we developed a parent campaign for the office, rooted in the history of the school.
As it turned out, Richard Aldworth’s vision had always been to see the education and development of young people; and he had offered subsidised education.
Together with the idea that we all have individual ambitions that benefit from Aldworth’s original vision, this sparked the campaign tagline: Defined by vision. United by ambition.

As part of the launch materials for the foundation office, we produced a film and book of interviews, titled ‘Stories of Ambition’. We brought together the various stories of people that have benefitted from the bursaries on offer, and framed the video as a call to action to the alumni and parents that would receive it.
